Our story

The Circolo dell’Automobile was born out of the legacy of Quattroruote, a name that has been part of Italian life since 1956. The magazine created by Gianni Mazzocchi quickly became a trusted companion for a whole new generation of drivers. Brilliant and visionary publisher, Mazzocchi founded Editoriale Domus in 1929 and went on to create some of the country’s most influential magazines — from Domus to L’Europeo, and Il Mondo, covering everything from cars to architecture, politics to economics.

This legacy lives on through his daughter, Giovanna Mazzocchi Bordone, now president of Editoriale Domus. With the same clear vision and steady hand, she has led the company into new chapters. Today Quattroruote continues to inform, inspire, and share the passion for driving. Together with Ruoteclassiche, its sister magazine dedicated to vintage cars, it keeps alive a complete vision of the automobile — past, present, and future.
